Mom's poem Lamar and I
LAMAR A N D I When the bleak winter skies turn to blue, When the Spring flowers come peeping throughh,.......... When the meadow lark and the Whip-O-Will cryyy........ Over the rocky hill we'll walk, LaMar and I. Gathering rocks, looking for arrow heads or anything, Oh, just to find the right rock for a beautiful ring; If we find a bottle that's purple, we let out a cryyy......., These things we love to gather, Lamar and I. And as summer progresses and it's awfully hottt..., We rest and go again, the heat stops us not. Thought sweat is on our brow we still must try,yy......,. Try to find the prettiest rock, LaMar and I. And, as winter comes again and snow falls, And in the wooded hitls, the coyote callsss......., We're sitting and waiting, with a long sigh,......, Just waiting for Spring to come, LaMar and I.
