Whoever dwells in the Most High

V5.5

Whoever dwells in the Most High And rests in His great shade Will say of God, “You're My fortress, My refuge and my aid.” From hidden snare and deadly plague He surely sets you free; His feathers cover, and His wings A shield and rest shall be. You will not fear the night’s dark dread Nor arrow in the day, Nor sickness walking in the gloom, Nor ruin at midday. A thousand fall beside your path, Ten thousand at your right; It will not come against your tent— You only see the sight. Because the Lord is your true home, The Highest your abode, No harm shall reach your dwelling place, No plague shall find the road. He sends His angels out for you To guard you in your ways; They lift you up in every step Lest stone should mark your days. “Because he clings to Me in love, I will deliver him; I set him high, I answer prayer, And honor him within. When trouble comes I stay with him; I rescue and I raise; Long life I give to fill his years And show him all My ways.”
