[verse 1] The fool speaks in his heart; “There is no God,” he says. They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; none walk in godly ways. [verse 2] The Lord looks down from heaven upon the human race, To see if any understand, if any seek His face. [verse 3] But all have turned aside now; together they are corrupt. There is no one who does good; not even one stands up. [verse 4] Do all these evildoers know nothing of the Lord? They eat my people like their bread, and fail to seek His word. [verse 5] But there they are, overwhelmed, for God is with the just. You evildoers shame the poor, yet God remains their trust. [verse 6] Oh, that from Zion comes the day when Israel is restored! When God brings back His captive ones, we’ll sing with joy outpoured.
