MIDWINTER BLOT

[Woman – spoken chant] The longest night has opened her hand. Fire rises. Snow keeps its silence. The old ones stand beside us, though no eye can see them. Lift the horn. Do not drink for yourselves. Drink for those who walked before you. [Great Choir] Raise the horn! Raise the flame! Let the old gods hear our names! ⸻ [Woman] Ash feeds the fire. Fire feeds the sky. The sky carries every promise. No oath is spoken twice. No oath is forgotten. [Choir] We swear by iron. We swear by fire. We swear beneath the winter moon. ⸻ [Woman] Odin, grant us wisdom. Thor, grant us strength. Freyja, guard our hearts. Njord, guide our ships. Let no child hunger. Let no hearth grow cold. Let our people see another spring. [Great Choir] Fire above us! Earth below us! Blood remembers! Stone remembers! Winter will pass— Our name will remain! [All] Lift the horn! Feed the fire! Stand together until the dawn.
