G.R.S. (Get Ready to Shine)

[VERSE 1 – “CALL TO ORDER”] 3:08 on the clock, yeah the board’s in the room, Matthew, James, Ruth Anne, George beatin' the boom. Clarmundo reads the mission like a prophecy told— We rise for the people, let the story unfold. Found a man in the shadows with a heart on the line, Brought him home to his mama, now he’s healing, he’s fine. GRS on the move, turning pain into gold— Every life that we touch is a story retold. [PRE-CHORUS] From the tents to the towers, we’re breaking the chain, Got grants on the table and fire in our veins. Budget’s behind but the hustle’s ahead— We don’t stop till every fighter gets fed! [CHORUS – “GET READY TO SHINE”] Get ready to shine— G! R! S! We’re lifting up the city with the power to impress! Lights up! Hands high! Let the future ignite! We’re the beat of the block and the hope of the night! Get ready to shine— G! R! S! From the boardroom thunder to the drag queen finesse! When Godiva hits the stage we’ll be raising the roof— Twenty K on the line and we’re living the proof! [VERSE 2 – “FINANCE ON FIRE”] Six months of receipts, yeah we’re digging through time, Need a bookkeeper magic with the spreadsheet shine. MUNS on the line with the audit ahead— Another IRS check sent to the wrong address, dead! Insurance getting wild, zip code roulette— But we hold up our staff, we protect who we get. Silver plan on the table but the heart stays gold, ’Cause we care for our people— that’s the story we told. [PRE-CHORUS] ADP vs Paychex, we’re cutting the cost, Strategic plan rising like a phoenix uncrossed. Recruitment on blast from the Lighthouse crew— We’re building up the board like a sky-high view! [BRIDGE – “GOSPEL HOUSE MOMENT”] Ohhh, we got PrEP in our pocket! Starter packs ready— unlock it! Ten years fighting for approval in hand— Now Gilead’s stepping with the power we demand! Raise your voice— let the city hear, For the ones who are fighting through another hard year. From homelessness to healing, from silence to light— We are GRS, baby, and we OWN this night! [DROP – “HOUSE FUNDING BREAKDOWN”] $50K for the party— Gospel House in the zone! BIPOC Pride rising from the bass to the bone! $400K testing staff— hit the lights! Five-year Ryan White— keep the future bright! NAC team rolling— ride for the cause! Lighthouse PR giving GRS applause! Jerry fixed the A/C— blow that breeze!
