Over Me

I walk the streets, stay connected with my feet march to my own beat parched from the summer heat try to think ahead, think of what's next And I must be blessed- to be given what's left So I travel far and wide And I keep an open mind Will I take it all in stride Till I can't see behind Roadblocks lined up in front of me hard knocks on the other side I see brace for it and I'm looking forward shake it up a bit till I find the courage till I dive in head first, head strong time to cash in cuz It won't last long time to hold my breath till I catch fire time to fold or bet build a fucken empire So I travel far and wide And I keep an open mind Will I take it all in stride Till I can't see behind Now I look back time stands for history Find a way forgive forget the tragedies Bless my soul for staying in control and shame on you for all the lies ya told Things are looking up with every ray of sunshine sweating out the misery's "And I keep an open mind"..... New signs, point to dead ends rewind back track, U-Turn fall behind Can't...seem find a place to hide can't seem to ever unwind Can't say I ever really tried Can't say Can't say that I applied Fortified, myself So here I am again with the same old story no glory and I'm still doing poorly long lines, red tape, hoops of fire test my will my patience my desire but I stand strong know it wont' be long until then sing the same old song pocket full of blues so I share with you cuz I know you be having these days too and I still feel blessed to be doing what's next so take my hand walk across the land climb mountains, swim oceans we survive as long as we stay in motion we're alive I'm over me I'm over you I know your over this shit too
