The lights streams in so beautifully Pink tinged clouds laced with gold Streak the sky with bright light There's something still in it Peaceful and warm glow I have seen it so many times in my youth And my aging eyes see it more brilliantly Calm and warm summer evening Breezes lightly dance upon my skin The stillness of the evening How very sweet and lovely Pure and holier than religious songs The fading twilight kisses the ground A sky full of colorful light Merges into a star filled night And I within this moment Have a glow within my bones A sturdy sort of joy that is built Within the marrow of my body Created by suffering and withstanding Without collapse or resistance The allowing of all and everything Calm and warm summer evening Breezes lightly dance upon my skin The stillness of the evening How very sweet and lovely Pure and holier than religious songs The fading twilight kisses the ground A sky full of colorful light Merges into a star filled night
