The Ballad of Sylphira Starwhisper and the Tinkertune #TheTavern

V4

Part 1 of 5 of my Tinkertune Tavern series of songs. The Tale of Sylphira Starwhisper Sylphira Starwhisper was born beneath the boughs of the ancient Silverglen, a fae forest untouched by mortal hands. Her mother, a weaver of moonlight spells, and her father, a trickster bard with a heart of gold, gifted her both magic and mischief in equal measure. Unlike other fairies content to weave flowers into crowns, Sylphira had fire in her blood. She longed for adventure beyond the glade, where the unknown called with promises of legend. With her rapier “Stormfang” at her hip and a satchel of enchanted relics, she ventured beyond Silverglen’s shimmering veil. From the high cliffs of Eldermoor to the catacombs of the Ashen Lords, she carved her name into ballads sung in every realm. She once danced upon the clouds with a storm spirit, tricked a band of sky pirates into surrender, and outplayed a banshee in a deadly violin duel. But even the boldest wanderers feel the weight of the road. Seeking rest and revelry, she followed the melody of a distant tune—a song only those of fey spirit could hear. It led her to the legendary Tinkertune Tavern, a place where music, magic, and mystery entwined. As she steps through its doors, the air is thick with song and spells. Her legend is known, her name already whispered in the crackling hearth fire. With a knowing grin, she raises her tankard, ready for the next chapter of her tale. Tonight, Sylphira Starwhisper sings her own story. ---------------------------------------------------------- The Song ---------------------------------------------------------- Oh, gather ye round and lend me an ear, A tale of a fairy so bold ye shall hear! With wings made of twilight and eyes full of fire, She danced with the storm and the stars in the spire! Raise your cups and stomp your feet! Hey! Ho! The winds do call, Sylphira Starwhisper stands proud and tall! Through forest and mountain, through shadow and sun, She’s come to the tavern where magic is spun! Born in the glade where the wild rivers run, Cradled by moonlight and kissed by the sun, She spoke to the winds and the whispers of trees, Learned spells from the willows and secrets from seas! The fae folk they danced in the midsummer light, But Sylphira dreamed of the farthest of heights! With rapier in hand and a map made of stars, She ventured to lands both wondrous and far! Hey! Ho! The winds do call, Sylphira Starwhisper stands proud and tall! Through forest and mountain, through shadow and sun, She’s come to the tavern where magic is spun! She bested a wyvern with naught but a tune, Outwitted a mage ‘neath the red harvest moon! She danced with the ghosts in the halls of the fey, And tricked a dark king at the break of the day! Now weary of war and the weight of her blade, She follows the music where legends are made! The Tinkertune Tavern, with laughter so bright, A home for lost souls on a wandering night! Hey! Ho! The winds do call, Sylphira Starwhisper stands proud and tall! Through forest and mountain, through shadow and sun, She’s come to the tavern where magic is spun! With a wink and a smile, she steps through the door, The crowd roars in welcome, her legend once more! A tankard is raised and a song starts to swell, The fairy adventurer with stories to tell! Hey! Ho! The winds do call, Sylphira Starwhisper stands proud and tall! Raise up your voices, the night’s just begun, For here in this tavern, we’re bound by the drum!
