UNDER THE MISTLETOE DAHLIA [Intro — Soft Sleigh Bells, Warm Bass, Playful Vocal Runs] Mmm… Look who’s standing over there… [Delicate High Soprano Run] Ooh-ooh-ooh! [Whispered] Don’t look up, baby. [Verse 1 — Sultry, Rhythmic R&B] Red velvet, December night You walked in and the room turned bright Got a little sparkle in your eyes And a smile you couldn’t disguise Everybody’s talking by the tree But you’re looking over here at me Got your name written on my wish list And I think you know what my wish is [Pre-Chorus — Rising Harmonies] One step closer Two hearts racing Feel the magic No more waiting Snow is falling Nice and slow And there’s something You should know [High Mixed-Voice Run] Oh, baby, don’t you know? [Chorus — Big, Catchy Christmas R&B] Meet me under the mistletoe Where the Christmas lights are glowing Hold me close and don’t let go Let the winter wind keep blowing Under the mistletoe Everybody knows, everybody knows I’ve been waiting all December For a little Christmas love! Oh-oh-oh, come a little closer Oh-oh-oh, put your arms around me Under the mistletoe— You’re the only gift I want! [Post-Chorus — Layered Vocal Harmonies] Kiss, kiss, Christmas kiss Something I don’t wanna miss La-la-love, let it snow Meet me under the mistletoe! [High, Agile Soprano Ad-Libs] Ooh, yeah-eah-eah! [Verse 2 — Playful, Confident] Gold ribbons on the presents But your smile’s got my attention All my friends are making guesses While you’re standing there pretending That you didn’t see the doorway With the little green bouquet Boy, I know you’re getting nervous But you don’t have to run away [Pre-Chorus — Stronger Vocal Build] One step closer No more hiding Feel the music Perfect timing Snow is falling Soft and slow And there’s something You should know [High Soprano Belt] I DON’T WANNA LET YOU GO! [Chorus — Full Harmonies, Stronger Bass] Meet me under the mistletoe Where the Christmas lights are glowing Hold me close and don’t let go Let the winter wind keep blowing Under the mistletoe Everybody knows, everybody knows I’ve been waiting all December For a little Christmas love! Oh-oh-oh, come a little closer Oh-oh-oh, put your arms around me Under the mistletoe— You’re the only gift I want! [Bridge — Piano, Gentle Strings, Intimate Vocals] When the decorations disappear And December turns into a new year Will you still be standing next to me? [Soft, Ascending Melismatic Run] Ooh, tell me honestly… ‘Cause I don’t need a perfect holiday Or a thousand pretty things to say Just promise when the snow is gone You’ll still be the one I want. [Ascending Soprano Run — Building Into High Head Voice] Oh, I wa-a-a-ant… [Final Chorus — Key Change, Explosive Gospel Harmonies] MEET ME UNDER THE MISTLETOE! Where the Christmas lights are glowing Hold me close and don’t let go Let the winter wind keep blowing! Under the mistletoe! Everybody knows, everybody knows I’ve been waiting all December FOR A LITTLE CHRISTMAS LOVE! [Extremely High, Crystal-Clear Soprano Head-Voice Ad-Libs — No Whistle] Oh, lo-o-o-ove! Take me hi-i-i-igher! [Long Sustained High Note Over Final Chorus] YOU’RE THE ONLY GIFT I WAAAAANT! [Outro — Music Drops to Sleigh Bells and Piano] [Softly, Smiling] So… Are you gonna kiss me? [Gentle Laugh] [Very High, Delicate Head-Voice Flourish] Mmm, under the mistletoe… [Final Bell Sparkle]
