[CHOIR/ENSEMBLE] This is where we go, after rehearsal tonight, Not many of us make it, but hey, that’s alright. Some have work in the morning, with early alarms, But the rest of us? Well, we’ll stick to our charms. We fancy a chill, a social, a beer, Grab some crisps, we’re happy to be here. It’s the only chance to chat and unwind, Without the director shouting, “Stop wasting time!” We talk about sports, or we mock other shows, Sometimes it’s gossip, as everyone knows. We laugh at amdram, at who’s in and who’s out, We bitch about members, no doubt, no doubt! (Laughs) There’s always that one, who complains about the play, Whispers behind backs, “Well, what can I say?” And when we’re feeling stupid, we talk politics too, But that always ends badly, nothing new, nothing new! So let’s get our beers, and grab some crisps, Take our seats, rearrange the chairs with a twist. There’s always a cheapskate with only water in hand, And someone too generous, buying for the band! (Laughs) We say we’re here for just one drink, just one, But one turns to two, and then we’re having fun. Oh, and there’s that guy, who’s not in our group, He’s always here, chatting, jumping through the loop! So here we are, just one more round, At the pub after rehearsal, where we’re always found. With beer and crisps, and stories to share, We’ll drink, we’ll laugh, and not have a care! (song ends)
