To The Hour (Alternate Version)

[Verse 1] We kneel by the table With dust on our hands For the one who is hurting And the one who won’t stand For the child in the alley For the liar in shame We lift up the broken And call on Your name [Pre-Chorus] Keep us near the mercy Keep us steady, keep us still When the night gets heavy Let Your promise hold us still [Chorus] Pray for her And the sinners now Pray for her Let Your mercy come down And to the hour of death amen And to the hour of death amen [Verse 2] For the ones at the border For the ones left behind For the pride in our mouths And the grief in our minds If the road runs empty If the tears run dry We still bring our offering We still testify [Pre-Chorus] Keep us near the mercy Keep us steady, keep us still When the night gets heavy Let Your promise hold us still [Chorus] Pray for her And the sinners now Pray for her Let Your mercy come down And to the hour of death amen And to the hour of death amen [Bridge] When the doors are closing When the last bell sounds Hold the lost and lonely Turn them safe around We are not the answer We are just the flame Saying over and over Your holy name [Chorus] Pray for her And the sinners now Pray for her Let Your mercy come down And to the hour of death amen And to the hour of death amen
