Lady Wolf
[Intro, fade in, repetitive bass rhythm] [Bridge] ... [Verse 1] Wind-chafed knees, a cold autumn creek. She heard a frog croak, "what do you seek?" Tears fell from her face, along with her hair. Black bristled fur, replacing skin once fair. "I need a prince", begged the beastly girl, "Who will not fear me" her teeth white as pearls, "What are you?" asked the frog, through the dark damp dim, "I'm just a lonely wolf", she spoke with a pain-filled grin. [Bridge] [Duet] (Awooooooooo) Would you really love a smile like this? (Awooooooooo) Would you really love a smile like this? [Verse 3] "I can't find you a prince," the solemn frog said. "I must prepare for winter, or I'll surely be dead." "And soon the hunters, will come - collecting new fur." "Run lady wolf, and search, for a prince in the summer." The wolf pleaded through eyes of soft amber. "Together, we could prepare you for the winter." "And I'll help keep you warm, if you do me this kindness." "Just please, let me pretend I'm somebody's princess." [Bridge] [Duet] (Awooooooooo) Would you really love a smile like this? (Awooooooooo) Would you really love a smile like this? [Bridge] "Alright," croaked the frog through a smile that shined. "I'll stand by your side, if you'll stand by mine." "And when winter passes, instead I'll find you a king." "In the blooming warmth, of the coming spring."
