Journal Entry 1 — Landing Day.

Today, we stepped onto the surface of New Earth.
After so long aboard Destiny, I had almost forgotten what solid ground felt like beneath my feet.
I stood there for a moment, simply feeling the sand under my boots…
Then I took a deep breath….
Real air!
Warm, carrying scents I can't name.
Grass brushes against my legs as I walk, and sunlight touches my skin.
For the first time in years, I don't feel the walls of Destiny around me.
There is open land and sky in every direction.

Journal Entry 2 — 8 days after the landing.

We’ve built our first shelter and moved the things we need most from Destiny.
Until now, we have returned to the ship at night.
Tonight will be different.
Tonight, we will sleep here, under the starry sky of New Earth.
It’s only a simple shelter, filled with equipment, supplies and everything we have carried from our old lives.
But somehow, moving those first belongings inside made this place feel a little less temporary.

Journal Entry 3 — Five weeks after the landing.

We’ve started preparing the soil for our first crops.
Several expeditions have taken us farther from the settlement, and every journey teaches us more about this world.
We’ve found fruits we can eat, seeds and roots that are safe for us, and we’ve seen the first animals moving through the landscape.
There is still so much we don’t know.
But for the first time, we are not only surviving on what we brought with us.
This world is beginning to sustain us.

Journal Entry 4 — Six Months after the landing.

Our village is taking shape.
The shelters have become real houses and no longer look temporary.
Paths have formed between them.
Crops are growing.
And daily life has begun to settle into its own rhythm.
Everyone has taken on tasks in their own way and found their place in our small society.
We have explored enough of this world to know that we can live here.
So we have made our decision.
We are staying.
Destiny brought us across the darkness to find a new Earth.
Now we have to learn how to call it home.
