FACE YOUR GIANT [INTRO — FEMALE LEAD — SOFT, ETHEREAL] Across the valley stood a giant, His shadow stretched across the land. But one young shepherd raised his eyes And placed his future in God’s hands. [MALE LEAD — LOW, STEADY] They said, “You’re only just a boy, What chance could you have here?” But David knew the Lord was near, And faith was stronger than his fear. [VERSE 1 — MALE LEAD] He had no armor made of steel, No mighty sword to raise. Five smooth stones were all he had, And faith to guide his ways. Goliath laughed and mocked his name, “You think you’ll conquer me?” But David stood and answered back, “The Lord will set me free.” [PRE-CHORUS — BOTH] When your giant starts to rise, And fear comes rushing through your eyes, Remember what the shepherd knew, The God who helped him fights for you. You don’t have to stand alone, You don’t have to fight your own. The God who stood with David then Will stand beside you to the end. [CHORUS — BOTH — HUGE] Face your giant, do not run, Stand your ground beneath the sun. Though he towers over you, There is nothing God can’t do. Face your giant, stand in faith, God is greater than his strength. Though the mountain blocks your way, It will not have the final say. If God is with you, don’t be afraid, No weapon formed against you will prevail. Lift your eyes and carry on, The battle belongs to God alone. Face your giant! Face your giant! The battle belongs to God! [VERSE 2 — FEMALE LEAD] Maybe your giant wears a different face, Maybe fear has taken up its place. Maybe doubt keeps calling out your name, Telling you you’ll never win the game. Maybe you are carrying hidden scars, Wondering if you’ve wandered too far. Maybe you’re fighting where no one can see, Wondering if you’ll ever break free. [MALE LEAD] But the God who gave that shepherd Courage in the field that day, Is the same God who can strengthen you And make a path where there’s no way. The hand that guided David’s stone, Can guide you when you feel alone. The God who gave him victory Can bring the same to you and me. [PRE-CHORUS — BOTH] When your giant starts to rise, And fear comes rushing through your eyes, Remember what the shepherd knew, The God who helped him fights for you. You don’t have to stand alone, You don’t have to fight your own. The God who stood with David then Will stand beside you to the end. [CHORUS — BOTH — BIGGER] Face your giant, do not run, Stand your ground beneath the sun. [BRIDGE — FEMALE LEAD — SOFT] You may feel small, You may feel weak, You may have cried When you could barely speak. You may feel lost, You may feel worn, But God can raise you Like the rising morn. [MALE LEAD — BUILDING] You don’t need the strength of a giant, You don’t need a warrior’s might. You only need to trust the One Who turns the darkness into light. [BOTH] You don’t need the strength of a giant, When the strength of God is near. Stand up, lift your eyes, And let faith conquer fear. [BREAKDOWN — MALE LEAD] Pick up your stone! [FEMALE] Stand up again! [MALE] Lift up your eyes! [BOTH — CHANTING] The Lord is with you! The Lord is with you! The Lord is with you! [MALE LEAD — POWERFUL] That giant has a name, But your God has one greater! [BOTH — MASSIVE] YOUR GOD IS GREATER! [FINAL CHORUS — FULL CINEMATIC] Face your giant, do not run, Stand your ground beneath the sun. Though he towers over you, There is nothing God can’t do. Face your giant, stand in faith, God is greater than his strength. Though the mountain blocks your way, It will not have the final say. If God is with you, don’t be afraid, No weapon formed against you will prevail. Lift your eyes and carry on, The battle belongs to God alone! Face your giant! Face your giant! Stand your ground and carry on! Face your giant! Face your giant! The battle belongs to God! [OUTRO — BOTH — BUILDING THEN FADING] When the giant stands before you, Remember David in the field. He didn’t win by strength or size, He trusted God, and God revealed. So when your giant blocks your way, And fear tells you to turn and run, Remember David’s faith that day: The battle belongs to God! [WHISPER — FEMALE] Face your giant… [MALE — SOFT] And do not fear. [BOTH — DISTANT] The battle belongs to God.
