Here's to the Ladies

[Spoken Intro — Over Piano] Four more invitations. Four more chairs. Bridget… Shall we let them in? [Verse 1 — Lisha] Lisha floated through the doorway, Took one look around. “Where’s the next adventure?” Before she’d quite sat down. A graceful swan in motion, With something new to try. “Madame Le Cygne,” the Keeper said, “Go on—let’s see you fly.” [Verse 2 — Sharon] Sharon kept her sparkle Like jewels inside a case. Then someone got her laughing— You should have seen her face. A flash of something precious, A treasure shining through. “Madame Le Bijou,” we said, “We’ve found the gem in you.” [Chorus — Female Group] Here’s to the ladies, Here’s to the names, Here’s to the friendships And a few well-played games. You came in as a candidate, Now a member—celebrate! The Circle has a place for you— And all the things we’ll get into. [Verse 3 — Sharon Ward] Sharon Ward saw someone nervous And moved a little nearer. “Come sit right here beside me.” The welcome couldn’t be clearer. A hand to hold, a kindly word, She offered from the start. “Madame Le Cœur,” the Keeper said, “You give the Circle heart.” [Verse 4 — Vickie] Vickie joined the table With easy, quiet grace. She set her glass beside the tiles And smiled at every face. A pearl keeps all its beauty As fashions come and go. “Madame La Perle,” the Keeper said, “A classic—we all know.” [Chorus — Female Group] Here’s to the ladies, Here’s to the names, Here’s to the friendships And a few well-played games. You came in as a candidate, Now a member—celebrate! The Circle has a place for you— And all the things we’ll get into. [Instrumental Break — Piano and Muted Trumpet] [Bridge — Warm, Ceremonial] They watched, they tried, they laughed together, Four trials along the way. Then Bridget brought the final tokens— Their names were here to stay. A swan, a jewel, a heart, a pearl, Each different, each belongs. Their old names on the invitations, Their new names in our songs. [Final Chorus — Full Band, Joyful Female Group] Here’s to the ladies, Here’s to the names, Here’s to the friendships And a few well-played games. You came in as a candidate, Now a member—celebrate! The Circle has a place for you— And all the things we’ll get into. [Outro — Female Group] Le Cygne, Le Bijou, Le Cœur, La Perle— Four more secret names In our little secret world. [Spoken — Bright, Adventurous Female Voice] So… where are we going next? [Spoken — Amused Female Voice] Lisha. We haven’t finished this party. [Spoken — First Voice] I’m just planning ahead.
