[Dialogue] [Spoken Word] "What are we looking at?" "It appears some sort of battle happened here." "There is no one here now" "It's kind of like Roanoke" "I'm sorry what is that?" "A whole place of people that just disappeared" "Look at the pile of ships. What are all those things that look like dolls?" "We believe they're robots. They kind of look like rock'em sock'em robots" "Say that again?" "They look like toys. As you said they look like dolls. Playthings. Except they are very large. Look at how much space one of them is taking up on that ship" "Can you see the impact point in the center of town?" "What could have caused that?" "I'm no expert, but it looks less like fire and more like concussion." "Can we get closer?" "Many reports have made it clear that if you get too close your power will shut off. Some sort of damping field." "That sounds like Sci-Fi. Next you will be talking about aliens and artificial intelligence taking over the world." "And at that point will you still be listening?" "Well this is a start. But we're going to need more evidence." "Will you fund the exploration?" "It would be insane not to" [Verse1] The Helo curved around the scene Altitude was constantly being checked To keep it from going too low Where the dampening field was in effect [Verse2] There is so much going on here The investor said How do you intend to get down there? With a non motorized ship [Bridge] How are you going to do testing Most things require electronics I need to know more about why I'm investing Before we act on it [Chorus] There is a temporary void There's a hollow in a name A land of devastation No living person remains Where did they all go Look at what's left behind There's something strange going on here Something outside of normal time [Verse3] We intend to collect things Then bring them out Our best effort Is to focus On things that are the furthest out [Verse4] Your Talking about hauling things On a non motorized vessel There will be weight restrictions It will be a hassle [Bridge] Don't underestimate the people And it costs less than equipment Bodies are easier to get And give a better commitment [Chorus] There is a temporary void There's a hollow in a name A land of devastation No living person remains Where did they all go Look at what's left behind There's something strange going on here Something outside of normal time [Verse5] Do you have people at the ready? Sir I have a waiting list That is quite the boast And I have already considered it [Verse6] There is a battleship in the desert I still have a crew looking into it Even after a year They can make no sense of it [Bridge] If That's a selling point It needs a little work The point is They keep showing up for it [Chorus] There is a temporary void There's a hollow in a name A land of devastation No living person remains Where did they all go Look at what's left behind There's something strange going on here Something outside of normal time [Verse7] With what we do release They come running for it I don't guarantee any usefulness But I'm a master of information [Bridge] Okay let's get clear of it What is your final destination Follow the path of the dolls The source of the infestation [Chorus] There is a temporary void There's a hollow in a name A land of devastation No living person remains Where did they all go Look at what's left behind There's something strange going on here Something outside of normal time [Outro] The Helo headed out On course for the ship Out past the dampening field Deciding what they can make of it It landed on a pad In the forefront of the ship The crew came in immediately Securing it We need to be tested for radiation Has that been an issue? It's never an issue until it is This is a standard rule Okay let's go get that check And I am on the scene I want to see how my money's spent Find out what this means
