Lord, Lead Me On (1)

[Intro] [acoustic guitar strumming, flute melody enters] [Verse 1] [acoustic guitar continues, bass and light percussion enter] Lead me on for I'm a stranger in this dry and barren land Lead me on to find a brother who will lend a helping hand Lead me on when foes pursue me though I never caused them harm Lead me on to peace and freedom with evil men disarmed [Chorus] [full band enters, vocal harmonies, tambourine] Lead me on, lead me on Lead me on, dear Lord, lead me on [Verse 2] [acoustic guitar, bass, and drums] Lead me on if I am hungry, lead me on when I am fed Lead me on if I am homeless with no place to lay my head Lead me on when I am thirsty, lead me on when I'm refreshed Lead me on if I'm unfaithful and forget how much I'm blessed As I travel in a land where so many build on sand Lead me on [Chorus] [vocal harmonies swell] Dear Lord, lead me on If my faith should start to wane, draw me near to You again Lead me on, lead me on, dear Lord, lead me on [Bridge] [flute solo over acoustic guitar and piano] [Verse 3] [drums and bass drop out, acoustic guitar and piano only] Lead me on to sit and listen, lead me on to just be still Lead me on to read Your word and to always seek Your will [drums and bass re-enter] Lead me on to mirror Jesus, let my life reflect His face Lead me on to share the story of God's amazing grace [Chorus] [full ensemble, high energy] Lead me on, dear Lord Lead me on, lead me on, lead me on, dear Lord As I stumble through the sand of a dry and barren land Lead me on, dear Lord, lead me on When darkness seems so real, it compounds the fear I feel Lead me on, lead me on, dear Lord, lead me on [Outro] [acoustic guitar and flute fade out] Lead me on
