[ https://www.thelibertybeacon.com/the-need-to-keep-a-sense-of-humor/ ] [Verse 1] Woke up with a plan Then I tripped on my own shoe Spilled my tea on the floor Still said, "Well, that was smooth" You can call it a mess I call it a fresh new start If the world throws a fit I just laugh and play my part [Pre-Chorus] 'Cause trouble loves a crowd And I don't need the stress If I can turn it sideways I can turn it into less [Chorus] Keep it light, keep it light Laugh it off tonight Keep it light, keep it light We can mess it up and smile Keep it light, keep it light When the plan goes wild Keep it light, keep it light Baby, that's my style (keep it light) [Verse 2] I wore my shirt inside out No one told me till noon Said, "That's fashion now" And I believed it too soon If I lock up my face Everything gets twice as hard So I make a joke first And let it break the guard [Pre-Chorus] 'Cause the little ugly truths Lose their bite when we sing I don't need a perfect day Just a funny little thing [Chorus] Keep it light, keep it light Laugh it off tonight Keep it light, keep it light We can mess it up and smile Keep it light, keep it light When the plan goes wild Keep it light, keep it light Baby, that's my style (keep it light) [Bridge] If the roof starts leaking We can dance in the rain If my heart gets heavy I make a punchline out of pain I know life gets mean But it hates when I grin So I crack one more joke And let the good noise in [Chorus] Keep it light, keep it light Laugh it off tonight Keep it light, keep it light We can mess it up and smile Keep it light, keep it light When the plan goes wild Keep it light, keep it light Baby, that's my style (keep it light) [ https://www.thelibertybeacon.com/the-need-to-keep-a-sense-of-humor/ (C) 2026 Joseph M Lenard media SEND US FEEDBACK (via CTP Show): https://www.buzzsprout.com/2210487/fan_mail/new - https://tinyurl.com/SubscribeToCTP - CTP Audios: https://tinyurl.com/CTPonBuzzsprout - CTP Videos: https://tinyurl.com/CTPonBITCHUTE - https://tinyurl.com/CTPgear - https://tinyurl.com/JLenardDetroitGear - AI images/videos/audio CTP uses: https://tinyurl.com/GalaxyMagicaAI - https://tinyurl.com/BookPromotionViaFiverr - other services: https://fiverr.com/jlenarddetroit ]
