I walked among you as the least of all your kind, Treated like a stranger you had left far behind. You acted as if I had no part in what you claim, Leaving me in silence with the judgment and the blame. Until the delivering of time shall set things right, I sit like a man with no breath in the night. Forget me if you wish, let your memories depart, For I will not forget you, or the truth within my heart— I know who I am, and to whom I belong! [Chorus] We live by the creed and the vows we have bound, Always build a brother up, never tear a brother down! Walking in the light with true honor and with pride, Standing in the gap where our loyalties abide! Never fail a brother in the battle or the field, With knowledge and with understanding as our shield! [Verse 2] Striving for our highest in the circles of our soul: Mental depth and clarity to make the spirit whole. Spiritual insight guiding every path we tread, Physical strength when the storm is overhead. We are no wolf pack, no company of hate, No refuge for cowards walking through our gate! A brotherhood of men who have gathered to impart The depth of our heritage deep within the heart. [Chorus] We live by the creed and the vows we have bound, Always build a brother up, never tear a brother down! Walking in the light with true honor and with pride, Standing in the gap where our loyalties abide! Never fail a brother in the battle or the field, With knowledge and with understanding as our shield! [Bridge] (Drums swell into a powerful southern rock stomp, electric guitar crying with passionate drive) The outcast was forgotten, left out in the cold, Waiting on the answers that the righteous have foretold! Through seasons of silence, the foundation stood secure, Tested in the fire so the vision would endure! From a man with no breath cast aside in the shade, To strong, fearless leaders standing tall and unafraid! [Chorus] We live by the creed and the vows we have bound, Always build a brother up, never tear a brother down! Walking in the light with true honor and with pride, Standing in the gap where our loyalties abide! Never fail a brother in the battle or the field, With knowledge and with understanding as our shield! [Outro] Build a brother up... never tear him down. No refuge for cowards... Strong and fearless leaders. I know to whom I belong. Still Standing.
