The First To Know

[ Intro ] [ Verse 1 ] Oh I am so lucky, you hold me in such regard. But don't put me on a pedestal, you should be on your guard. I don't know what I'm doing, but I'm sure I will know soon. I'm a caterpillar, shedding my cocoon. [ Chorus ] When I work it out, I will tell you. When I know where I am, I'll bring you with me. You want to move fast but I can only go slow. When I work it out, you will be the First To Know. [ Verse 2 ] They say "fake it 'til you make it", so I guess that's what I'll do. I'm sure that whatever happens, we will muddle through. The answers are 'round the corner, oh, we'll know before too long. Until that day we will just sing along. [ Chorus ] When I work it out, I will tell you. When I know where I am, I'll bring you with me. You want to move fast but I can only go slow. When I work it out, you will be the First To Know. [ Bridge ] [ Final Chorus ] When I work it out, I will tell you. When I know where I am, I'll bring you with me. You want to move fast but I can only go slow. When I work it out, you will be the First To Know. [ Outro ]
