[NARRATOR — SPOKEN VOICE ONLY] [DO NOT SING] Today we bring three small Nemenhah records together because, when read as one story, they teach something beautiful. The Book of Payneh Ihm Ahkehkt. The Book of Tsitstaynah. And the Book of Pahnah Tahnihts. Three generations. Two traditions. And one continuing Way. The story begins during troubled times. Far to the south, cities had fallen into wickedness, oppression, and war. Among the people arose a woman remembered as Night Voice Woman. She preached peace. And when the old society began collapsing, she gathered people and led them away in search of a better life. Eventually two traditions came together. Payneh Ihm taught his children the ways of his own people. But his wife also preserved everything that was good in the ways of her people. They did not teach their children to fear what was different. They taught them to recognize what was good. And Payneh Ihm said their faithful children were the greatest blessing and gift they could leave behind. Then the record passes to their daughter... Tsitstaynah. Her record is very short. But perhaps that is what makes her testimony so powerful. She simply says that her parents taught her the ways of their fathers... and she was content in them. She married. She raised children. She worked. And the Way continued. Then her daughter Pahnah Tahnihts accepted responsibility for keeping the family record. She learned to write because she wanted future generations to know the story of her family. And she continued what her grandparents had begun. She taught her children the Way of the Tuhhuhl Nuhmehn... and the good teachings that had come through Night Voice Woman. Different traditions had become one family. And Pahnah tells us how she judged the result. Her children walked in right ways... and did harm to no one. That may be the great message of these three little books. We do not preserve Zion only through great sermons, temples, councils, or sacred records. We preserve Zion in our homes. A father teaches a daughter. A mother preserves what is good. A daughter remembers. A granddaughter writes it down. And another generation learns to follow the Peacemaker. That is how the Way continues. One family at a time. One child at a time. One generation at a time. [MUSIC GENTLY BUILDS] [BEGIN SINGING — VERY SHORT] Teach the Way... Pass it on... Through our children... Faith lives on... Peacemaker... Lead us through... Generation... After generation... To You. [END]
