[Verse 1] Clock says five and I’m out the door Shoelaces loose on the apartment floor I’ve got a text that says “where are you?” And a pocket full of something to do [Pre-Chorus] No more dragging my feet No more watching the week Turn the key Let it breathe I’m already halfway free [Chorus] Friday, Friday Call my name Friday, Friday Break the chain (Friday) I want the long road home (Friday) I’m not going back alone [Verse 2] Ice in the cup and the radio loud Your laugh cuts through like a shot in a crowd I wear the night like a second skin Every little bad thing starts to wear thin [Pre-Chorus] No more dragging my feet No more watching the week Turn the key Let it breathe I’m already halfway free [Chorus] Friday, Friday Call my name Friday, Friday Break the chain (Friday) I want the long road home (Friday) I’m not going back alone [Bridge] Let the old week fade Let the plans run wild One more song One more mile I’ve been waiting on this all day [Final Chorus] Friday, Friday Call my name Friday, Friday Break the chain (Friday) I want the long road home (Friday) I’m not going back alone
