In the old church yard where the wildflowers grow… There’s a girl who makes every creature feel at home… And one bimbo dog who runs the whole show… [Verse 1] Meeko comes running the second she sees her face Big husky heart in the right place She understands every word that we say Even Cat the dictator lets her have her way Meeko dreams of wedding bells and Rissa as her mum Daddy Jim in a suit and a happily ever after to come She’s convinced that one day it’s all gonna be The three of them together, one big happy family! [Pre-Chorus] Rissa doesn’t even try, they just gather around The whole church yard turns into her little kingdom now [Chorus] All the animals in Rissa’s church yard! Come running when they hear her sweet hello All the animals in Rissa’s church yard! She’s their little princess, don’t you know? [Verse 2] Gus the tabby weaves between her feet so fine Fang the tuxedo cat is cold so she snuggles in line Salem the black one watches with those clever eyes (He might be more than a cat but nobody’s asking why) Mooshie does his little skunk stomp on the grass Chasing his ball while Theo just laughs Penny Henny the fat hen waddles up proud and loud Tazar’s number one lady, head held high in the crowd Whisker the wooden cat ticks and purrs on the stone Banana Joe the monkey’s causing trouble on his own Stealing pants and smoking like it’s going out of style Trying to light fires with that mischievous smile [Pre Chorus] But even Banana Joe settles right down When Rissa gives him that soft smile and he drops whatever he’s stolen on the ground!!!! [Chorus] All the animals in Rissa’s church yard Come running when they hear her sweet hello All the animals in Rissa’s church yard She’s their little princess, don’t you know? [Verse 3] Even the horses, those flighty lunatics Clippy the big Clydesdale lets Cat steal a kiss Rose the white mare and George standing tall Spot pretends he has no name but we know it all Snoop and Scoop still cause chaos with the wagon wheels Aurora the palomino just wants to feel And the beautiful black stallion with the slowly turning coat (Jimmy hasn’t said the name out loud but I heard it’s Nero) [Instrumental Break - playful flute melody, dancing pizzicato strings, celesta sparkle and joyful Disney orchestral flourish] [Bridge] Rissa sits quiet with that gentle little smile on her face While Meeko watches her with that big goofy grin in place Like the whole church yard already knows how sweet the ending could be.... [Final Chorus] All the animals in Rissa’s church yard! Come running when they hear her sweet hello All the animals in Rissa’s church yard! She’s their little princess… (their Disney princess!) Don’t you know? (don’t you know?) Meeko dreams it loudest… (woof!!!) Banana Joe behaves… (for once) Even the horses calm their farm… when Rissa sings her song [Outro] Oh....... In the old church yard where the wildflowers grow… Rissa and her kingdom… now we all are home…
