It Ain't the Heat That Gets Ya...It's the Existential Dread

Well, I sat down on my porch with a beer in my hand, Contemplatin' destiny, things I don't understand. This universe is mighty big, and I'm just a man, Trying to figure out if I'm free or just followin' a plan. Now, my truck's got a will of its own, it loves to break down, And my hound dog, he chooses to chase every squirrel in town. But here I am, stuck in the middle, wearin' this puzzled frown, Wonderin' if I'm the puppeteer or just the clown. Am I free, or is it all just a show? This big ol' universe, guess I'll never know. But as the stars twinkle and the cold wind blow, I'll keep livin' life, goin' with the flow. Then I got to thinkin' 'bout all them stars in the sky, Is my fate written up there, way up high? Or do I make my own path, do I really decide, If I'll ride off into the sunset or just enjoy the ride? My mama always said, "Life's what you make it, son," But sometimes it feels like it's all been pre-run. Still, I'll take each day, try to have some fun, Believin' in my heart that I'm not the only one.
