[Title: UNTIL THE DAY DAWN] [Intro — Haunting Female Lead] I saw a testimony of a rising star, A heart so full it could hardly contain The joy of waiting for the Lord— But what does the Scripture say? [Verse 1] “We have also a more sure word of prophecy;” A light that shineth in a dark place, “until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:” The Morning Star has spoken, His promise shall remain. We are watching for His appearing, And the glory of His name! [Chorus — Soaring Female] UNTIL THE DAY DAWN! UNTIL WE SEE HIS FACE! From mortal into immortal, From corruption into grace! WE SHALL BE CHANGED! IN THE TWINKLING OF AN EYE! Not by the beating of our hearts— But by the power of Jesus Christ! [Verse 2 — Building] Our hearts may burn within us, As the Scriptures open wide. But we wait for our redemption, When the Lord is glorified! The dead in Christ shall rise first, Then we which are alive remain Shall be caught up together, Forever with the Lord to reign! [Bridge — Powerful Gospel Rise] “Christ in you, the hope of glory:” Our life is hid with Christ in God! “When Christ, who is our life, shall appear,” Then shall we appear with Him in glory! Not appointed unto wrath, Not forsaken, not alone. He shall change our vile body, Fashioned like His glorious own! [Final Chorus — Triumphant] UNTIL THE DAY DAWN! THE MORNING STAR SHALL SHINE! THE TRUMPET SHALL SOUND! AND THE DEAD SHALL BE RAISED! WE SHALL BE CHANGED! IN THE TWINKLING OF AN EYE! Our labour is not in vain in the Lord— OUR REDEMPTION DRAWETH NIGH! [Outro — Female Solo] “Wherefore comfort one another with these words.” JESUS IS THE LORD
