Wind-Born (Version 2)

V5.5

[Intro] [A lonely, high-pitched cry of a Gyrfalcon pierces the silence. The sound is sharp and direct, without echoing far.] [A single, rhythmic beat of a large skin-framed drum begins, fast and steady. The sound is dry and wooden, like a heart beating right next to you.] [Low, guttural female throat singing starts. The voice sounds close and intimate.] [The rhythmic rattling of deer antlers and dried bones. No reverb, just the raw, clicking sound of bone on bone.] [Spoken/Whispered in a haunting, clear voice]: "Listen to the wind... it tells of a night when the stars fell silent. When the frost didn't just bite, it claimed the soul of the world. Hear the tale of the one born between a storm and a blessing. Hear of Vanyaldir." [Verse 1 – The Cold] [Deep, thunderous war drums set a slow, heavy pace. The strikes are short and impactful, no long fading echoes.] The sun had vanished in a shroud of grey, And eternal winter had come to stay. No wing dared the sky, no beast dared the field, Until the great ice began to yield. Inside the Laávvu, by the blue-fire's light, A new life challenged the frozen night. [Chorus – Aelfar Language] [The atmosphere intensifies. A crisp Nyckelharpa melody and a clear female choir. The voices are layered but close, not drifting away in a hall.] Vanyaldir, dunnas o’ rhaen eldar, Sîdh o’ vail, i-morn o’ falahar. Tala i-feln, a-raw i-glis, Gwidor o’ waith, i-wandla’s dênis. Gerfalkas-sin, Aelfar-mêl, Taur o’ vail, i-erui thêl. [Verse 2 – The Collision & The Fey] [Shamanic percussion builds up, bone flutes mimic the whistling wind with a sharp, dry tone.] High o'er the peaks, where the thin air screams, Two ancient winds met in the world of dreams. The North Star's chill and the Storm-Bringer's roar, Collided and fused at the spirit's core. But a Wind-Fey was there, with a silver-lit grace, To weave her own magic into the child's face. [Chorus – Aelfar Language] Vanyaldir, dunnas o’ rhaen eldar, Sîdh o’ vail, i-morn o’ falahar. Tala i-feln, a-raw i-glis, Gwidor o’ waith, i-wandla’s dênis. Gerfalkas-sin, Aelfar-mêl, Taur o’ vail, i-erui thêl. [Instrumental Break – The Ritual of Change] [The intensity builds with layered percussion and driving, hypnotic Tagelharpa melodies. Every pluck of the strings is clearly audible.] [Bone flutes mimic the cry of a falcon.] [The female choir chants 'Nid avgör' in a grounded, trance-like state.] [Massive war drums transition to a fast, aggressive war dance. Hard, dry hits.] [Verse 3 – The Awakening] [Drums remain driving and primal, female vocals reaching a haunting high note that stays focused and direct.] She opened her eyes, golden and wild, The falcon’s own gaze in the face of a child. But as she inhaled the first breath of the earth, The forest-green claimed her, a miracle birth. The Feenblut was hidden, the wings were not seen, But the fire of the storm in her blood was keen. [Bridge – The Shifting Form] [Sudden silence, tension. Only a dry, distant heartbeat drum remains.] Three forms for one, a soul without rest, Are you of the ground, or the heavens' guest? [Heavy, bone-dry strikes of the war drum with each following line.] When the Wind-Fey's kiss meets the falcon's cry, The daughter of Aelfar shall take to the sky! [Outro] [The instruments slowly fade, leaving only the raw sound of the frame drum and the actual wind.] [A final, haunting female throat singing note, very dry and close to the ear.] Wind-Hunter, soar on the icy-cold stream, The sky is your cathedral, your only dream. Born in the frost, with a blessing in hand, Vanyaldir – Mistress over the land. [Final] [One final, resonant strike of the massive war drum. The reverb is short, focusing on the power of the hit.] [The distant, sharp cry of a Gyrfalcon.] [Instant silence.]
