Requiem in Scarlet
[Piano Intro] I was born with a metronome pulse in my chest, Hands blessed no less than a muse-possessed. White dress, red keys, I confess: Each note I pressed felt like success. I used to speak through ivory breath, Fingers dancing, cheating death. Each chord a prayer, each scale a blade, A world I made, then unmade. But now the rhythm skips and slips, I miss, I twitch, I trip on pitch. The rhyme-won’t land. The time-won’t stand. My hand-my hand-my hand- It shakes, it breaks, it fakes the flow, I chase the note-it won't let go. Play play play- what rhymes with stay? What rhymes with me when I rot away? I lose-I use-I bruise-I choose- Then nothing- Nothing left to ABUSE! [Verse 1] I trace the shape of silence with my wrists, Each note I miss becomes a cyst. I'm gritting through the grace I fake, Pretend my hands don't start to shake. This bench, my throne, my altar, curse. I hum in keys that sound rehearsed. A smile stitched, a skill possessed. They say I'm gifted. I'm just obsessed. [Verse 2] I used to feel the music bloom. Now every octave is a tomb. The echo limps, the tempo fights, I dream in flats and wake in frights. My fingers bend like broken teeth, They gnaw the chords beneath the grief. Each tremor grows a second skin. There's something else now creeping in. [Chorus] If I can’t play, then let me burn. Let twisted rhythm take its turn. Let monsters scream the songs I knew. If music dies, I’m dying too. Let me break. Let me bite. Let my shadow learn to write. If I’m cursed, then make it true, I’ll haunt the keys that won’t pull through. [Verse 3] Tendons tangled, tempo throttled, Pulse percussive, breath is bottled. Knuckles mutter cryptic hymns, Cracked crescendo clawing in. Spasms script a screaming grace, I wear my pulse across my face. Lurching logic, fractured phrasing, Chord progression-hell-and blazing. [Verse 4] A requiem in ruptured time, My spine the staff, my shriek the rhyme. This isn’t art, it’s exorcism, My bones conduct the schism’s prism. Hunger hums in every rest, I taste dissonance in my chest. No god in this; just me and spit, I play the keys until they split. [Chorus - Unhinged, Enhanced Rhyme Flow] Let me shatter where the silence seethes, Where broken bars still birth belief. No flesh? No fear. Just flame and fang. I’ll score the void in my own slang. Wreck the frame, I’ll bend the law, Scratch sonatas through my scar. If grace is gone, then make it cruel. I’ll drown the choir- infinite fuel. [Bridge] I fed the keys a thousand names- They screamed in chords, they burned in flames. A symphony of carbon cries, I wrote in smoke across the skies. One city sunk to raise my choir, Each soul a string, each breath a fire. Their pleas, my pluck. Their fate, my flair. I made a harp from open air. [Verse 5] I touched a chord- veins snapped like wire, Blood hummed low in the throat of the choir. Teeth clacked time like a rusted clock, As I stitched their screams to a breathing block. Organs split in syncopation, Ribs unwound in modulation. Breathe by gasp, the skyline sang. A sonnet built from bodies hanged. [Verse 6] I wrung the marrow into pitch, Spilled cadence from a carotid stitch. Their nerves unwound, their mouths still moaned, I plucked each cry from a shattered tone. Pulse collapsed on a downbeat drop, Skulls went soft as the tempo stopped. And in that hush? That final prayer? I bowed- and played their hollowed air. [Outro] Crack-crush-snap-my fingers peel, Torn from sockets, the screams congeal. Blood beads drip on shattered keys, A choir birthed in viscera seas. Tongues twisted ‘round rusted nails, Carnal chords writhe, decay prevails. Skulls cracked open, brains as drums, Pulse pounding out deafening hums. Slit wrists bleed the tempo’s flow, Writhing flesh in undertow. Veins unravel like frayed wire, Feeding madness’ funeral pyre. Shatter, splinter, break and bite, Rend the silence, drown the light. I am marrow, rot, and bone- A symphony of flesh and stone. [Final Chorus] And if I can’t play, then let me burn. Let twisted rhythm take its turn. Let monsters scream the songs I knew. If music dies, I’m dying too. Let me break. Let me bite. Let my shadow learn to write. If I’m cursed, then make it true, I’ll haunt the keys that won’t pull through.
