I Am Light

I am a glow in the dark of the night, A flickering flame, soft and bright. The shadows may linger, but I take flight, Dancing with stars, I am light. I am the whisper of dawn on the rise, A gold-painted dream in your skies. When the world's wearing gray in disguise, I'll color your days, I am light. I am light, the shimmer, the gleam, Drifting through hearts like a warm, sweet stream. A glow to guide when your path's unseen, Forever your spark, your daydream. I am the shine in a love-struck gaze, A warm little flicker through life's cold haze. When the wind howls and begins to craze, I anchor the calm, I am light always. In the darkest of corners, I softly expand, Like beams of hope, lent by a gentle hand. I fade not when night swallows the land, I brighten the soul, I am light unplanned. I am light, the shimmer, the gleam, Drifting through hearts like a warm, sweet stream. A glow to guide when your path's unseen, Forever your spark, your daydream.
