Just the way things are.

Just the way things are. [latest thoughts May 2026] It seems to me that the amazing explosion in creativity and song creation thanks to Suno has not been matched by a corresponding increase in listeners. In addition most people love and listen to their own music most of the time – but still would like others to listen to theirs. Everyone is swimming in a sea of music. This means there are lots more people chasing a very limited audience. On Suno I’ve noticed that there is very little loyalty to the work of other creators. There are I’m sure small groups who are a very loyal to each other. Mostly though there is very little long term interest in the work of others. I’ve seen creators who have had millions of plays who now receive hardly any. This is just the way things are. Regarding published songs on Suno I feel that the algorithm promotes creators or distributes songs at random. It is annoying that songs are not promoted based on positive responses. It would be so great if all songs published were promoted fairly based on responses or time played. Also I’m looking forward to the day when we can upload our songs to a robot band who will sing as well as play actual instruments. This I think will likely happen in the next 5 years. This will add to the confusion of AI haters. Will a live drum beat by a robot be that much different from a live drum beat by a human?
