I grew up fast, and i grew up mean, If my life was a movie, you would surely say it was too obscene, There wasn't any good and I really didn't give a crap, if someone tried to care for me, I'd always push them back I was a freight train of anger barreling down a tore up track. [Pause] I guess you can say, "That was just me being me"... [Short guitar solo] [2nd verse] I don't trust anymore that was suck right out of me, because I've been screwed by all the people, that was supposed to care about me, so that made me build up these walls that keep people from getting too close to me... I can honestly say [pause] "It hasn't been easy being me".. [Guitar] [Bridge] I did some time in jail, did some things I'll never tell, that Dam near landed a one-way ticket to hell, All the crime and all the fights, my sight was blurred from wrong and right, you couldn't find a drop of good inside me. and that was just me being me...... [Guitar] [3rd verse] Now I'm stuck in the grind and have to take people's crap, I bust my ass, but only get the scraps, all the money i make the government takes it all right back from me I'd really like a refund for my American dream... But i guess that's what i get... For just being me... I sure can't stand being me...... and that's just me being me..... [outro Instrumental]
