[Intro]

[Verse 1]
I was shuffling down the avenue, missing my left shoe,
Hankering for a midnight snack, when I caught sight of you.
You were barricading windows at the corner grocery store,
And suddenly, my tummy wasn't rumbling anymore.
You had a rusty baseball bat and a rugged, cautious frown,
The absolute handsomest survivor in this whole abandoned town

[Chorus]
Oh, I'm sure that you've got some tasty brains,
But you're showing me how to have a heart again.
I used to chase the living, now I'm just chasing your smile,
Drop your weapons, baby, hang out with me for a while.
I might be a monster, but I'm falling hard for you,
And I promise to only bite if you ask me to!

[Verse 2]
The other ghouls are groaning, hungry, nothing in their heads,
But I'm just getting full of butterflies thinkin' of you instead.
You aimed your heavy crossbow, I just gave a little wave,
That spark of recognition might just be my only save.
I left you a bunch of flowers, though they're wilted, just like me.
But it's the thought that matters, I've got heart, can't you see?

[Playful Bittersweet Strings Instrumental]

[Bridge]
I'm known to eat some minds, yet,
Somehow, you've managed to consume mine.
It's a crazy, scary world by apocalyptic design,
But the thought of holding your warm hand feels so divine.
If the others come looking, we'll just run away,
A zombie and her survivor boy, saving the day.

[Final Chorus]
Oh, I'm sure that you've got some tasty brains,
But you're showing me how to have a heart again!
My pulse is just a memory, my skin is cold as ice,
But looking at your smile, boy, feels like paradise.
The world is falling down, but I'm standing by your side,
With a love so undead, it has nowhere left to hide....

[Outro]
So keep your heavy shutters down, but leave a crack for me.
The cutest little zombie girl that you will ever see.
I'll guard your door all night...
I promise not to bite...
Braaaaaaains... I mean!
Be mine...
Be mine.
