[Instrumental Introduction] [Verse 1] When the May wind came to our little town the cherry trees were in bloom along the road that led to school I walked there dreaming away Every morning carried a secret every day awakened something new the future was waiting around the corner and summer finally came [Chorus] Oh, cherry tree blossoms you still remember my steps all the dreams I carried in my heart on the road toward the future In the park where we played as children life was blooming so bright water lilies rested on the pond and time moved slowly [Instrumental Interlude] [Verse 2] The birch trees whispered softly in the wind flowers smiled along the path I did not know what life was waiting for but the world felt so wide [Bridge] The years go by but the roots remain and memories travel with me what I saw through a child's eyes is still here inside me [Final Chorus] Oh, cherry tree blossoms you still bloom inside of me and the road that started back then still leads me home [Outro]
