I actually didn’t want to take part in this music challenge at all — for several different reasons — but I’ve now come up with a way to still make a song for it without having to throw my principles (no politics) overboard. The song definitely doesn’t follow the initiator’s rules, but as a free-spirited creative I couldn’t care less 😂😂😂 ___________________________ PLANET OF THE APES Friendship Challenge --------------------- ENGLISH: I would appreciate your support. Will you participate? Rules: -------- - Choose a maximum of 5 people from your Suno contacts (this is difficult, I know - stay strong). - Remix the original song by @Mitti1976. If you want, you can change everything, as long as the message remains the same. If you only want to adjust the name mentions in the chorus, that's perfectly fine too. - Mention the selected Suno contacts in the chorus instead of the ones I mentioned (I've marked them with ** in the lyrics). - In the "Add a caption..." field, write all the contacts, starting with the one who nominated you. You must begin with an @ symbol, then start typing the name and click on the relevant name in the list. Then press Enter or Space and make the next contact. - Copy this text into the lyrics field of your finished song. - Sit back and wait to see if/when the nomination comes back to you. ___________________________ [Intro] Vexa kicks the random box across the neon floor, circuits sparking Jara kneels, slices the seal with her boot knife Toy monkeys, scratched nature disks and one old "SUNO Archive" drive spill out Vexa plugs it in, grins wide "Let's hear what the dead world jammed to before everything burned, Jarie-Belle." Jara nods slowly, eyes already locked on the glowing drive [Verse 1] Toy monkeys crash cymbals in frantic loops across the workbench Vexa winds another one up just to hear the ridiculous clatter Jara ignores the noise, carefully slots the first nature disk Old footage flickers—lions stalking through tall savanna grass rain drumming on broad leaves, no corps, no drones, no ads Her voice comes low, almost reverent "This… this is how the world actually sounded. Before the signal drowned in noise." Vexa glances over, smirking "Bet a lion pack would shred Nyx's fancy leather in about three seconds flat." Jara lets out the tiniest huff—her version of a laugh [Pre-Chorus] Hours melt away in shifting neon glow, empty stim-cans stacking like trophies Vexa sprawls on the floor surrounded by cables, scrolling endless track lists Jara sits cross-legged nearby, chin on hand, listening without comment They treat the heist mixtape like encrypted scripture debating every addition, trading half-remembered stories from the old feeds [Chorus] When boredom strikes and mystery boxes land at 3 a.m. Random junk transforms to treasure, who even needs a plan? One glitch – monkeys drumming chaos while we plot the score We own the wreckage, Data Hit! When nostalgia slams harder than a failed Ice breach We plunder ghosts for the perfect driving soundtrack One glitch – cymbals crash and corps start to shake We ride the static, Data Hit! [Verse 2] Vexa queues Silvia first—those gentle children's songs drift through the neon haze Both fall quiet for a long moment, staring at nothing The melodies feel impossibly fragile in this concrete jungle "Silvia gets the quiet breath right before we light the fuse," Vexa says softly Jara nods once "Those songs carry something the Sprawl killed a long time ago." [@silviaboor] Vexa keeps scrolling, adds another track "Still hits different at this hour." [Verse 3] Vexa pounds the table for Chuck—pure raw punk rage against every machine ever built "Chuck goes nuclear when we crack their vaults—screaming 'love' while credits burn!" Jara raises one eyebrow "Love hidden inside all that fury? That's almost poetic." She doesn't argue though, just lets the track stay [@csief78] Then she finds Visky—darkpop shadows, deep velvet bass for cruising rain-slick streets "Visky belongs on the long night drives… when the city feels hollow and too quiet." [@visky1975] Vexa grins across the cluttered table "Admit it, sharpshooter—you're actually enjoying this little trip through dead time." [Bridge] They argue quietly over the final slot—too many worthy ghosts fighting for space Eventually they settle on Freddie—wild swagger, heartbreak, pure gangster cool The perfect soundtrack for cool comms banter while sirens scream behind Vexa jacks the drive straight into the car rig "Picture it: tearing through Level 87, Freddie belting it out, monkeys still clashing in the trunk." [@freddiedk] Jara methodically checks her rifle mags "May the old signal stay clear… even when the apes crash cymbals through the wires of the night." Vexa fires up the engine with a satisfied nod [Chorus 2] When the sprawl tries to swallow every spark we manage to steal We crank the ghosts loud and force the corps to kneel One glitch – old mixtape shatters their deal We ride the static, Data Hit! When hunter drones swarm and codes try to chain the flame We laugh through the wreckage, never quite the same One glitch – but we rewrite every rule of the game We keep burning, Data Hit! [Outro] Vexa’s voice crackles through the cheap dashboard speakers "Soundtrack finally locked. Apes, nature docs, dead singers… and us against the grid." Jara glances sideways, almost smiling "Time to make some noise the old world never got the chance to hear." Mixtape ejects with a soft click—hand-scrawled label in black marker: "Ape Heist Bible"
