14. “THE GOD WHO WILL PROVIDE” Inspired by Genesis 21–22

VERSE 1 Morning broke with holy laughter, Sarah held her promised son, Years of waiting turned to wonder as the miracle was done. Abraham stood in the doorway, tears of joy upon his face— For the child the Lord had spoken now was resting in their embrace. VERSE 2 But the desert held another, Hagar wept beneath the sky, Her boy fading in the distance, no more strength to even cry. Then the angel called with mercy, “Do not fear, for God has heard.” And a well sprang up before her—living water from His word. CHORUS The God who will provide. In the joy and in the shadows, You are always by our side. When the mountain feels too heavy And the tears refuse to hide— Still Your promise stands unbroken, You’re the God who will provide. VERSE 3 Then the call came in the silence, “Take your son, your only one. Lay him on the mountain altar, trust the heart that gave this son.” Abraham climbed slowly upward, every step a trembling prayer— Yet he whispered to the servants, “We will worship… we’ll return from there.” VERSE 4 Isaac asked, “Where is the offering?” as the fire and wood were raised, Abraham looked toward heaven with a heart that burned with faith. Then the angel cried from glory, “Do not lay your hand tonight!” And a ram stood caught in thickets—God’s provision in their sight. BRIDGE On the mountain of surrender, On the mountain of the flame, On the mountain where our questions Meet the God who knows our name— Every fear becomes a witness, Every tear a holy guide, For the Lord Himself is present, And the Lord Himself provides. FINAL CHORUS The God who will provide. In the joy and in the shadows, You are always by our side. When the mountain feels too heavy And the tears refuse to hide— Still Your promise stands unbroken, You’re the God who will provide. TAG On the mountain of the Lord… He will provide.
