(Soft piano, solo voice) I was searching through the darkness, Looking for a light I’d never known. Built my life on shifting shadows, Till Your mercy called me home. I heard a voice beyond the thunder, Gentle as the morning rain. You said, “Child, I’ve paid the ransom, You don’t have to wear your chains.” (Band builds) Grace has found me, Hope surrounds me, Christ has called my name. Death has lost its victory, Nothing stays the same. (Powerful choir) Lift your eyes! The King is risen! He has conquered death forevermore! Lift your voice! He reigns in glory! Every knee will bow before the Lord! (Quiet bridge) No crown of gold can ever save us, No work of man can cleanse our soul. Only Jesus, Only Jesus, Makes the broken whole. (Heavy rock section) When the nations shake, When the mountains fall, When the heavens thunder, He is over all! Not by fear! Not by power! Not by kingdoms built by man! By the blood of Christ, The spotless Lamb! (Choir and orchestra swell) Holy! Holy! Worthy is the Lamb! Holy! Holy! The great I AM! From the cross, To the grave, To the empty tomb, You have made a way! Every tongue confess, Every heart proclaim: Jesus Christ forever reigns! (Gentle ending) So when my final breath is taken, And earthly songs have all been sung, I will stand before my Savior, And hear the words, “Well done.” Forever Yours… Forever Christ… Forever King… Amen.
