'On leading the away team consisting of myself, James Robertson, and Tom Newman in search of the beacon, we have crashed through a weak layer of surface rock into what appears to be a large cavern'. 'I have lost all communications with Jane Newsome aboard the Thalos.' 'I have erected a beacon near James' body, and I am hopefull it's signal should breach the atmosphere, as, after all, we were able to detect the alien signal from above ground'. [short ambient instrumental] 'Speaking of the signal, our sensors are detecting it much clearer now, I am convinced it is coming from deeper in this chasm'. 'Visibility, unexpectedly is good down here, the moon's haze has remained aboved ground the walls of this cavern are made up of a strange crystalline mineral, which is omitting an unusual green glow'. 'Tom has bagged a sample and we have continued on towards the signal'. [short ambient instrumental] 'The cavern has narrowed significantly, forcing us to walk single file. The glow somehow seems brighter and seems to have an almost hypnotic effect on us, as if we are a couple of moths being led to a flame'. 'After about twenty minutes, the tunnel is starting to widen again before finally opening up to reveal another cavern'. 'I don't know what I was expecting, but I was not expecting anything like this'. 'The cavern is littered with relics, some clearly ancient and alien, but many appear to be of Human design'. 'I see what looks like a twentieth century navel ship ahead of us and I am heading there to take a closer look'. 'There is writing on the front side of the ship, it reads U S S Pickering, but how is this even possible?'. 'The desire to examine all these wrecks is all consuming and it is hard to resist, but I have a mission to complete and must resist the temptation'. [Haunting cinematic orchestra] [stirring cinematic solo] [Male analogue spoken words] 'The signal is just to our right and I can make out a shape illuminated by the greenish glow'. 'Again it appears of Earth design, definitely an aircraft but it looks very familiar, like I have seen this before on a historical hologram'. 'I have now walked to the opposite side of the aircraft and can see the skeletal remains of the pilot. Definitely human remains, and the pilot is wearing an early twenty first century style astronauts jacket and helmet'. 'I am looking at the remains of Flight Lieutenant Andy Fishwick, aboard the Jupiter, an early interstellar ship that vanished on her maiden voyage'. 'No one knew if it jumped into hyperspace or if the drive had blow'n. 'It couldn't have blown as the craft is here intact, but with no sign of a crash, deep in a cavern with no opening above, how exactly did it get here?' 'This makes no sense at all' [short ambient insturmental] 'I have switched off Jupiter's distress beacon and removed the pilot's dog tags as proof of what we've found'. 'Tom has called me over as he has spotted a large subterranean lake, dimlit lit by the mineral glow'. 'It appears without end.. it. is. huge'. 'There is somehing near the edge of the lake. An alien console of some kind'. 'As I approach, it's display panel lit up to reveal an illegible alien text and omits a repeating sound, like a message on a loop, but I can't make any sense of it'. 'The glow also now seems brighter down here'. 'It.. it's kind of hypnotic, I.. I feel drawn, no, NO, must.. resist..' 'It's in my mind, I see a temple, cloaked figures, I.. I hear chanting in my mind..' 'THE OLD ONES, the old ones, no, NO... Must... RESIST.' [Instrumental outro] [Ending]
