No Map Home

V6

I woke up to another morning But I don't remember falling asleep The light comes through the curtains And there's nowhere I need to be The world outside keeps moving Like it always knows the way I watch it from my window And wonder how I lost my place I’ve been taking roads for years now Just because they led somewhere Following signs I couldn't read Pretending I was getting there I carried all my yesterdays In places no one sees And every time I put them down They found their way back to me I have no map home No road that leads me back I'm somewhere in the middle Of everything I never had I keep walking through the unknown With a heart I barely know Maybe I'm not going nowhere Maybe I just have no map home There are people I remember Who I thought would always stay There are pieces of my life That disappeared along the way Sometimes I miss the person I was before I knew too much Before every open doorway Started feeling like a wall And I keep asking Where did I go? Somewhere between then and now I don't know anymore I have no map home No road that leads me back I'm somewhere in the middle Of everything I never had I keep walking through the unknown With a heart I barely know Maybe I'm not going nowhere Maybe I just have no map home Maybe I don't need a destination Maybe I don't need to understand Maybe some roads are only there To teach us how to stand I don't have to see the ending I don't have to know the way I can take another step And let tomorrow wait I still have no map home Still don't know where this goes But the road is underneath me And somehow I'm still moving slow I keep walking through the unknown With a heart I'm learning to know Maybe I'm not going nowhere Maybe I'm just finding my way home Maybe somewhere down this road I'll recognize the view Maybe I'll find a place That doesn't feel so far from me Until then I'll keep walking Even when I don't know where to go No map home
