Leaving the Master

[Intro] Ah, oh Ah, oh [Verse 1] Here's another story true That occurred in 1992 I was trying to do daily worship and meditation But my health was rough and life was getting tough [Verse 2] On this day, I began The morning worship with flowers in hand Bowing to the Master and the Light Offering my life with heart bright But the words inside said "I can't do this anymore I am done, I am leaving, therefore" [Pre-Chorus] I had come prepared To be heart surrendered So I decided then and there I would worship ONE LAST TIME [Verse 3] Then I was ready to meditate Again the words said I am done, "I can't do this anymore I am leaving, therefore". But again I chose One last time, before I quit. [Verse 4] As I took my place to sit Suddenly I was blown open wide I was on the other side Clear and completely FREE Watching, I could see my mind clawing at thin air And my body grasping with nobody there [Chorus] I am doing UNENLIGHTENMENT!!! Wake me up. Let me see I am doing unenlightenment! I will let go, I know Divine Freedom is waiting I was desperate for the familiar state So it didn't take long Before the ego trap was completely back What did I see, What can I say? I am doing unenlightenment! all the time every day! But that amazing taste of Freedom stood out without any doubt Freedom is always there Waiting for all to wake up. [Chorus] I am doing UNENLIGHTENMENT!!! Wake me up Let me see I am doing unenlightenment! I will let go, I know Divine Freedom is waiting [Bridge] What a perfect lesson At the perfect time. Oh, the Master, WOW! He knew me so well. How could I leave now? No matter how hard it became I would be a fool to stray It would be total shame to ever leave the Way So I am here still today Watching my heart flood, With joy and Gratitude as I pray While tastes of Ecstasy and Freedom grow all along the Way.
