Between the thin air

A signal hums beneath my skin Like something calling from inside No name, no face, just pressure In the silence where I hide The streets dissolve into reflections Every shadow feels awake I move through spaces without borders Every step a small mistake I hear my thoughts collide With echoes I can’t place The world feels slightly tilted Like time forgot my face I breathe in what I can’t explain A weight that doesn’t leave There’s something thin between the moments Something pulling back at me I’m standing in the thin air Where nothing feels secure Every second feels suspended Every feeling feels unsure I’m standing in the thin air Between the now and then If I fall through this sensation Will I come back again? My heartbeat syncs with distant lights Flickering but never gone I trace the lines of intuition Like a code I’m running on No answers in the noise No comfort in the calm Just motion without reason Like an open, waiting palm I sense the shift before it comes A change I can’t control There’s something thin between the moments And it’s reaching for my soul I’m standing in the thin air Where nothing feels secure Every second feels suspended Every feeling feels unsure I’m standing in the thin air Between the now and then If I fall through this sensation Will I come back again? If I let go of the ground Would I finally feel real? Or would everything around me Disappear into the unreal? I’m standing in the thin air No past and no defense Every breath is just a question Every step a consequence I’m standing in the thin air Till the fear begins to fade If I cross this fragile distance I might like the choice I made
