Dream 1-HOW CAN I REACH THE STARS?

V5.5

[INTRO – nocturnal ambience, distant ticking pulse, low room drone] I don't really have friends. There are a few people who are close to my heart. And then there are those rare ones... The ones who somehow found their way straight into the center of it. Engraved there, for what feels like forever. Or maybe they were never engraved at all. Maybe I only recognized something that was already there. An ancient impulse, suddenly coming alive. [free instrumental drift] Life is funny. It doesn't ask anything from you. It doesn't want anything from you. You're just here. No explanation. How did this mind come to be— the one thinking these very words? Or is it thinking at all? Maybe it's only playing back a script that was written before I ever arrived. [whispered, psychedelic echo] That's the funniest part. This whole thing... Maybe it's just a reel turning, every thought carefully written long before I called it mine. And people still talk about free will... Come on. [lonely harmonica, suspended silence] And what does any of this have to do with the people carved into your heart? Maybe nothing. You're lying awake in the middle of the night, searching for something to hold on to. And suddenly you think of them. You remember the sound of their laughter. You know exactly how they laugh. Even though... you barely know them. [ambient instrumental, dreamlike] Then suddenly, the screen lights up. A message. In the middle of the night. From another continent. Another time zone. Knocking on your door. [subtle digital chime, silence] I swear... the universe has the strangest sense of humor. Why couldn't it have parked that person somewhere down the street? Why so far away? [psychedelic blues improvisation] Distance can be crossed. Maybe. But somehow, I still get lost on the road back to myself. And if I can't even find my way there... How can I ever hope to reach the stars? [OUTRO – whisper, fading guitar, ticking pulse remains]
