Data Hit 4.1 - Tentacle Mirror Suit

[Intro] Jara said it would be clean. Just dive, grab the crates, get out. …We should’ve known better. [Verse 1] Pink lights slicing through the black, my twintails floating like live bait. Jara’s steady, I’m wired tight, two girls sinking into the pirate grave. Crates still humming on the broken deck, old photonic glow in the wreck. Then she appears — same height, same frame, but the red in her ponytail burns like a claim. [Pre-Chorus 1] She moves like Jara, but the soul’s all wrong, same cold eyes, different song. Hardcase cuff catching the beam — this mirror came here to steal the dream. [Chorus 1] Data Hit in the crushing black, Data Hit — wrong mirror at my back. One glitch and the tanks start to crack, Data Hit — now the mirror attacks. When the red streak draws her blade in the deep, Data Hit — this mirror’s tearing at the seams. [Verse 2] We twist in the beams, no room to breathe, fingers locking, no time to grieve. She’s precise like Jara, I’m reckless and loud, every move she makes feels like looking in a cloud. Jara’s fighting her echo, cold and exact, I’m grinning through the panic in the black. Her scooter hums closer, threat closing fast — then the deep answers back with a low, heavy groan. [Pre-Chorus 2] Ink explodes, the whole world turns blind, tentacles thicker than the lies we left behind. [Chorus 2] Data Hit in the ink cloud blind, Data Hit — still breathing, still mine. One glitch and the monster changed the tide, Data Hit — left the red streak behind. When the kraken rewrites the whole damn game, Data Hit — we rise and she ran away. [Bridge] Phosphorescent veins lighting up the black, giant eye watching two girls fight back. She’s gone on her scooter, swallowed by the murk, we kick for the surface, lungs burning, suits in shreds. Jara’s shoulder’s shredded, her side’s wide open, tentacle kisses left the fabric torn. [Outro] We break the surface gasping. Jara’s suit looks like it lost a very personal fight with a very large squid. I spit out seawater, flash her a grin and say: “Pretty sure that kraken liked you way more than Snap did.” Engine roars. We disappear into the night, still laughing. See you next time, red-streak mirror.
