Diego the little donkey, Under his olive tree, The tree is older than you, The tree is older than me. He's Stretched out on his back, He's Relaxed and happy, Listening with a smile To his favorite bumblebee. This is his favorite place, No one laughs at his ears, Or his long, funny face. Some think he’s just cute, Some are just rude. Diego has a dream, He wants a shiny car, Like the two-legged creatures Driving near and far. He told his friends, They laughed and sang: ("Diego the donkey, You’re funny and strange! With your big ears, And your long nose, You saw a car, And now you want one of those!”). Diego smiled and laughed, But in his heart he knew, One day he’d drive, And make his dream come true. Diego the little donkey, Under his olive tree, The tree is older than you, The tree is older than me. Diego mind wondered softly, Who had rested here before Him?,dragon a monkey a king? His best friend, the bumblebee, Could only hum yes or no. But he loved Diego’s questions, Even the ones he couldn’t know. Could Diego fit in a car? Could they travel far? To places where heaven Got bigger stars? As night sank under the olive tree, The two friends closed their eyes to sleep. One dreamed of a car, The other of honey sweet. And that’s how days passed under the olive tree, For the Diego the little donkey, and his best friend, the little bumblebee .
