Archibald's Dragon Fiasco
© Copyright 2024 Cloacina Lyrics: A tale I shall spin, of a hero so grand Archibald they called him, a name known so well, With boots made of iron, and stories to tell. He sought out adventure, in mountains so high, A twinkle in his eye, as he looked to the sky. Heard of a dragon, with scales emerald green, Whose skin held a secret, the strangest ever seen. Circumcised they said, a truly rare sight, Archibald chuckled, "I'll battle this night!" With a sword and a shield, and a tankard of ale, He charged at the beast, with nary a wail. The dragon it roared, a sound like a storm, But Archibald stood, ready to perform! Oh, Archibald fought! He fought with a smile! The dragon did sweat! For quite a long while! But alas and alack! He met his cruel fate! Under the skin! It was really too late! He slipped on a scale, rather slimy and wet, And tumbled and crashed, a moment to regret. Entangled and trapped, in dragon-skin fold, Archibald's story, sadly is told. So raise up your voices, and give a cheer! For the lad who went bravely, with nary a fear. Though under the skin, he found his last bed, We'll drink to his legend, now long since he's dead! Oh, Archibald fought! He fought with a smile! The dragon did sweat! For quite a long while! But alas and alack! He met his cruel fate! Under the skin! It was really too late! Oh, Archibald fought! He fought with a smile! The dragon did sweat! For quite a long while! But alas and alack! He met his cruel fate! Under the skin! It was really too late! So here's to Archibald, a hero so bold, Whose story we'll tell, 'til we all grow old! He died with a laugh, in a very bizarre place, A legend of laughter, for all time and space!
