Winds came strong tore the night apart But you can’t break a island heart Through the storm and the pouring rain We rise again we rise again From Kingston town to Montego Bay Hands are reaching come what may Though the sea may roar and the skies may fall We still stand proud we still stand tall And when the dark clouds fade away The sunlight finds another day Together we’ll rebuild we’ll sing The island always finds its wings One love one voice one song For the island we belong Jamaica we’ll rise again Through the pain through the rain We’ll dance till hope remains Together strong my friend Jamaica we’ll rise again Mothers cry but children smile We walk together every mile Neighbors share what little stays That’s the island way that’s the way The rhythm lives in every soul It beats like fire makes us whole Though we’ve lost we still believe In love that never leaves When the night feels far too long We find our courage in a song From every shore from every hand We lift the heart of this land One love one voice one song For the island we belong Jamaica we’ll rise again Through the pain through the rain We’ll dance till hope remains Together strong my friend Jamaica we’ll rise again We are the sunlight after the storm The rhythm that keeps our hearts warm Every voice becomes the tide Lifting hearts from side to side One love one voice one song For the island we belong Jamaica we’ll rise again Through the pain through the rain We’ll dance till hope remains Together strong my friend Jamaica we’ll rise again Rise again Jamaica rise again
