Scrappy-Dee — “Love Carries Me to Jesus” [Intro — spoken] Yeah… I got a big heart. Sometimes too big for my own good. I love people hard… I call my friends family. But I learned something along the way— Everybody you love ain’t meant to walk beside you forever. Sometimes God removes people because He knows what you can’t see. [Hook] My heart so big, but it breaks so easily, I give my love away, hoping love comes back to me. Male friends, female friends, I treat ‘em like my blood, But fake energy can’t live where I’m building up. If you ain’t for me, I gotta let you go, Not out of hate — I just gotta protect my soul. I keep showing love, even when the world gets cold, ’Cause every step I take, Jesus carries my soul. [Verse 1] I opened up my heart and they walked right through, Gave ’em loyalty and they gave me something untrue. I was there when they needed me, day and night, But when I needed somebody, everybody lost sight. Still I don’t wanna become what hurt me, I don’t wanna let bitterness control me. I know my heart’s a gift, even when it bleeds, So I take my pain to Jesus when I’m down on my knees. I got brothers that ain’t related by blood, Sisters that I love, yeah, we built on trust. But sometimes that trust gets broken in two, And God whispers, “My child, I got something better for you.” [Hook] My heart so big, but it breaks so easily, I give my love away, hoping love comes back to me. [Verse 2] I ain’t cutting people off because I think I’m better, I’m protecting my peace from a stormy kind of weather. Some people come around just to drain your light, Smile in your face, then disappear overnight. I learned forgiveness doesn’t mean you stay, Sometimes loving somebody means walking away. I can pray for you without giving you my space, I can wish you peace without keeping you in my race. No revenge, no hatred, no dirt on my hands, I’m putting every broken piece back in God’s plans. ’Cause Jesus showed love when they nailed Him to that tree, So if He can forgive them, He can teach forgiveness to me. [Bridge — slower, emotional] When my heart gets heavy… Jesus, carry me. When I don’t know who’s real… Jesus, help me see. When somebody leaves… Help me let them go. When somebody hurts me… Help me still show love. I don’t want a heart of stone. I want a heart like Yours. [Verse 3 — harder flow] So I’m walking with discernment, but I’m walking with love, Got my eyes on the Father, got my faith up above. I ain’t perfect, I’ve been broken, I’ve been lost in the rain, But every scar on my heart tells a story of change. I used to think that loving meant everybody stayed, Now I know some relationships are lessons God made. Some are blessings, some are warnings, Some disappear before the storm starts forming. So I love from a distance when distance is right, Still pray for your healing while protecting my life. And if you ever wonder why I still wish you well— Because Jesus taught my heart not to become what hurt itself. [Final Hook — huge choir/crew chant] MY HEART SO BIG! ❤️ — BUT JESUS HOLDS IT! WHEN IT BREAKS! — HE CONTROLS IT! I SHOW LOVE! — EVEN WHEN THEY DON’T! I KEEP FAITH! — EVEN WHEN I’M LOW! FAKE ENERGY? — LET IT GO! WRONG PEOPLE? — LET ’EM GO! LOVE PEOPLE! — LOVE ’EM RIGHT! JESUS LEADS ME! — THROUGH THE NIGHT! [Outro — spoken] My heart might break… but it won’t become bitter. I’ll keep loving. I’ll keep forgiving. I’ll keep setting boundaries. And I’ll keep following Jesus. Because real love doesn’t always mean keeping everybody close. Sometimes real love means letting go… …and letting God lead you home. ✝️❤️
