Words of the Divine

V5.5

Verse 1 Choose your words wisely, are they making a sound? Lifting heads up swiftly, building others in bounds? Every tongue holds power, every sentence can sow, Seeds of hope and healing, or a harvest full of woe. God said tie a rope to a block and drown, If you're causing His children to stumble around. This was but a warning, don't tear others down, We must carry each other when life comes crashing 'round. Chorus Speak life, let mercy flow, Planting hope wherever we go. Lift the weak when they can't stand, Be the heart and be the hands. Love is louder than our pride, Grace will always be our guide. When the storm is all around, We'll lift each other from the ground. Verse 2 When your neighbor's burden feels too much to bear, Be the answered prayer that shows somebody cares. Every scar reminds us we all need His grace, No one's won by hatred or shame upon their face. Let forgiveness bloom where bitterness once grew, Christ has shown that same compassion over me and you. So we'll walk beside the weary through the darkest night, Holding to His promises until the morning light. Chorus Speak life, let mercy flow, Planting hope wherever we go. Lift the weak when they can't stand, Be the heart and be the hands. Love is louder than our pride, Grace will always be our guide. When the storm is all around, We'll lift each other from the ground. Bridge We're one body, one Savior, one unending grace, Every soul is precious in our Father's embrace. If He carried every burden on that rugged tree, Who are we to withhold the love He's freely given me? Let our words be rivers washing shame away, Pointing every broken heart to brighter days. Verse 3 When this life is over, may they truly say, "They reflected Jesus in the words they'd choose each day." Not remembered for opinions or victories we found, But for lifting fallen hearts when they hit the ground. So I'll guard this tongue You've given, Lord, refine what's said, Fill my mouth with truth and hope where fear has often spread. Till the whole world echoes with redemption's joyful sound, We'll keep building one another, never tearing down. Final Chorus Speak life, let mercy flow, Planting hope wherever we go. Lift the weak when they can't stand, Be the heart and be the hands. Love is louder than our pride, Grace will always be our guide. Choose your words, let heaven resound— Building hearts, never tearing down.
