Upper Room Groove

[Verse 1] In the first light, He spoke again, forty days, He walked with friends. He talked of the kingdom, healed the doubt in their hands. "Stay in the city," wait for the gift. Power from heaven, you'll know when it hits. [Pre-Chorus] They asked, "Lord, is this the time?" He said, "That hour's not for you." But you'll get strength, and you'll tell the truth. [Chorus] You will be my witness in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, to the earth's far end. Witness, witness to the earth's far end (witness) Witness, witness to the earth's far end. [Verse 2] Then He rose up high, clouds took Him in. Two men in white said, "He'll come again." They stood there staring, hands by their side. Back to the room now, back to that fire. [Pre-Chorus] They went from the hill to the upstairs room. One hundred twenty held to the tune. [Chorus] You will be my witness in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, to the earth's far end. Witness, witness to the earth's far end (witness) Witness, witness to the earth's far end. [Bridge] Peter stood up, counted the days. Judas left his place, so they chose in prayer. Matthias took the seat, the circle was whole. One voice, one promise, one waiting soul. [Chorus] You will be my witness in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, to the earth's far end. Witness, witness to the earth's far end (witness) Witness, witness to the earth's far end.
