A Place to Be Born #3

[spoken intro, male voice] a young couple came from Nazareth she was in labour on the verge of geving birth [Verse] Through dusty roads they made their way No inn would have them stay The stars above began to mourn [Prechorus] A cry for shelter A plea unheard Just whispers lost in the desert’s word [Chorus] In a stable just outside Bethlehem Where the world would change for them A place to be born A place to belong In the humblest cradle A quiet song [Verse 2] Hay for a bed The night was cold A story ancient Yet untold Hearts trembling The hour near [Prechorus] The animals watched The silence broke As hope arrived in a breath In a cloak [Chorus] In a stable just outside Bethlehem Where the world would change for them A place to be born A place to belong In the humblest cradle A quiet song
