[Verse 1] Hope won't you come out and play for a while. Be well some place to go. I'm looking for answer and he's hard to find. I see the time's getting low. [Verse 2] Confusion is laughing and running around. Throwing rocks in my way. Sadness he sits by the side of the road. Looks as if he wants to stay. [Chorus] Father, I thank you for grace and mercy Lord. I come with worship and praise. Please share with me direction. Grant me strength to discern. Till hope returns. [Verse 3] Faith and charity, where is your friend? I really could use her right now. Hope with prayer is the message they send. Each of them in time will allow. [Verse 4] Fear and despair, they hide in the dark. I feel them but can't see their face. Oh hope, I need you beside me right now. So I can get out of this place. [Chorus] Father, I thank you for grace and mercy Lord. I come with worship and praise. Please share with me direction. Grant me strength to discern. Till hope returns. [Bridge] I'm here with patience to try. But even he's running dry. Waiting for love to rain from above. And to keep hope alive. [Verse 5] Remembering what promise once said. Well answer he is not dead. Be gentle my son. And kindness will come. Hope and the future will weigh. [Verse 6] So goodbye sadness, joy will rise. She won't be here on her own. Goodbye confusion for wisdom will reign. And happiness will find a home. [Verse 7] Faith comes with trust to guide me along. For the path is narrow I find. Answer is there up around the bend. And peace is long for the ride. [Final Chorus] Father, I thank you for grace and mercy Lord. I come with worship and praise. Please share with me your direction. Grant me strength to discern. Till hope returns. [Outro] Oh, please grant me strength to discern. Till hope returns.
