[Verse 1] Rolling out at sunrise Coffee in a travel cup Maps marked up with memories Can’t seem to get enough Big sky on the windshield Dust on our license plates Every mile a little lighter We’re chasing open gates [Chorus] We’re the South Texas Renegades Rolling where the blacktop fades From red rock canyons To tall green pines and shade We trade our stories by the fire Under a sky that never ends South Texas Renegades Turning strangers into friends [Verse 2] Level out the jacks slow Chairs in a crooked ring Somebody’s got the grill hot You can smell that seasoning Names stitched on our badges But it’s the laughter we recall It feels like coming home again Where every rig’s a neighbor’s wall [Chorus] We’re the South Texas Renegades Rolling where the blacktop fades From coastal mornings To mountain evening rays We trade our stories by the fire Under a sky that never ends South Texas Renegades Turning strangers into friends [Bridge] Six times every year now We circle up the same New parks, new views, new sunsets But the feeling never changed (oh no) It’s handshakes, hugs and “glad you came” That keeps us on this road again [Chorus] We’re the South Texas Renegades Rolling where the blacktop fades From rivers whispering To desert stars on parade We trade our stories by the fire Under a sky that never ends South Texas Renegades Turning strangers into friends
